Pop Piano Styles level 2
Bought these for my students to get away from the standard classical style of playing. The 7 songs have different style rhythms from blues,rock,boogie,and Ragtime.This book has very basic rhythms which are a good start, plus I have the students also add some improv. or change the note durations along with what is written to make the songs sound more lively.The Book 2 is easy to read and well organized. Songs are 1 or 2 pages in length. They are a good start to get into pop/blues to learn basic syncopated rhythms. Usually have my students start with level two. Level one book in this series is a little too basic. hope this helps.
