Excellent Resource for Intermediate Students
This Pat Metheny Songbook is an excellent resource for intermediate piano and guitar students. The lead sheet format, with its clear notation and comprehensive chord symbols, makes it fantastic for teaching students how to interpret jazz fusion pieces and develop improvisation skills. NO TABS
Transcriptions are conspicuously absent. Unless you can read music without same, its not easy. And it would be nice to see exactly how Mr. Metheny played these songs.
