Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart wrote his first pieces between 1761 and 1764, when he was only five to eight years old. These early works show his extraordinary talent and musical understanding at a very young age.
K.1–K.5 – Short keyboard pieces and minuets composed in Salzburg, probably written down by his father Leopold Mozart as Wolfgang played them from memory.
K.6–K.7 – Written during the family’s European tour in Paris and London, these include keyboard sonatas for four hands, showing early experiments with form and melody.
The music is simple, clear, and graceful, but already reveals Mozart’s sense of balance and beauty that would define his later style.
These pieces mark the beginning of Mozart’s genius and show how his musical imagination developed even before formal training.
