This minuet from the composer's neoclassical phase seems to poke fun at the powdered wig formalism of the minuet in its 18th century heyday. The Trio section gets wilder and wilder, leading to a culminating polychord of great dissonance - then back to the stately(?) minuet as at the beginning.
