This arrangement presents a new adaptation solution to transform the original piano arpeggios into a simpler version than the traditional ones, but without losing the beauty of the accompaniment, allowing the soloist to be accompanied by intermediate level pianists or amateurs. The “Meditation” is part of the opera “Thaïs” and is one of the most beloved compositions by French composer Jules Massenet. The opera premiered at the Opéra Garnier in Paris on March 16, 1894 and this piece is originally a symphonic intermezzo in Act II.
