My new favorite series to use with beginners!
I have two students in this book currently. This book is an excellent choice for an older beginner without being at all babyish - it has the approval of my tween students. :) The approach to each concept works so well for my dyslexic student (especially when paired with the cd!).

for teenagers and adults
I use this lesson book for mature 10 year olds and older and adults too. The first 5 or 6 chapters usually work very well with everyone, after that for some the note reading range expands a bit too quickly. A very good lesson book, I enjoy using it and it has some nice teacher duets too.

Love it
I like how more information is given per page, but it is still broken down into small chunks.

Blues Lesson Book 1.
This is rather an old collection, which when originally composed were not in a Blues style.and I would not recommend it . Far better to go for Nina Simone's and the like.
