Published in 1915 and stayed in the "Parlor Song" of the early 20th century when people entertained in the "Parlor" often equipped with a piano. The piano player would play and somebody lead in the singing of these songs of an often sentimental nature. This tune was enormously popular due to the subject matter and especially at "Mother's Day." In this piano arrangement, two verses and the short chorus of text appear above the piano part.
