Musical Critique, Ponderous Puffery, or Hogwash?
Kenny G is a great musician, but this book is a disappointment. It shows brief musical passages, but it doesn't show the complete songs. For example, Example 1 Songbird, Example 2 Silhouette, and Example 3 Forever in Love are on page 5. Example 4 Going Home, Example 5 Morning, and Example 6 Silhouette are on page 6. Examples 7, 8, and 9 Songbird are on pages 7 and 8 and include some theoretical discussion as well as a lot of ponderous puffery. Also, the examples on the CD are cut short, which is irritating. This book may be useful as an in-depth study of the author's interpretation of Kenny G's music, but not much use if you're trying to learn the songs from start to finish. I gave this book 2 stars (instead of 1 star) because I thought some Kenny G enthusiasts might find the critiques interesting. I personally think much of it is hogwash. I recommend Kenny G - Breathless and the CD of the same name, and Kenny G - the Moment and the CD.

Doesn't have full play along
Offerd was play alongs for excercise and full play alongs. But there only partial play along. Nothing if you need background for audiance

Interesting but...
Songs really too short to catch the whole spirit of Kenny G.Really annoying !Would be better to transmit all reviews to editor to correct that.
