Impromptu in blue is a short concert piece in lazy 6/8 time. I wanted the melody to be simple and memorable with a gentle support in the harmonies.
It was also my intention to compose something which has “blue” elements and style without too many technical demands. I have set it to Intermediate level but the whole score is on the youtube link for you to assess suitability.
It would be ideal as an addition to a music programme, a recital/concert piece, showpiece/encore, or useful for weddings, valentines, background music etc. It is 3 mins 50 in length
