'Farewell' makes extensive use of musical motifs from songs Colors of the Wind, Just Around the Riverbend, and If I Never Knew You. Orchestrated by Danny Troob, the music for the ending sequence of Pocahontas is among the best of any Disney animated feature.
Alan Menken's score for Pocahontas (1995) won 2 Academy Awards: Best Original Musical / Comedy Score, and Best Original Song.
