Fantasy, a character piece for marimba quartet, pays homage to the Russian school of keyboard composition exemplified by the music of Alexander Scriabin, a celebrated early 20th century theosophist. The communication of the marimbists, articulate and thoroughly rhythmic, begins as a maestoso but abandons rhythm for a tonal/atonal spiritual unity.  The work is a joy to play.
