Fun and challenging, but not the greatest piece
I am a pianist who performs with a chamber music group in our own subscription series. We are programming this piece to conclude the first concert of our 2016-2017 season. Not the greatest piece written for this kind of formation: inelegant modulations, predictable cadenzas, plain harmonies. But there's a certain guilty pleasure in playing the work, mostly for the pianist. It provides a fun, light distraction in a concert program. The edition is well realized, save for a few em awkward page turns in the piano part.
