Double Guitar is an anthology including 22 unpublished guitar duets, devised by composers of today and especially dedicated to young musicians.
The pieces are sorted according to a criterion of progressive difficulty within each composer and they are intended as much for the beginner in the study of the instrument as for anyone who has reached a higher technical and musical level.
Through the music in this anthology, guitar students will be able to discover the value of making music together, to develop the skill of listening to each other and to challenge the world of contemporary composition. The latter is by no means easy to do especially for those on the receiving end who, as listeners, continuously "consume" the music of our day, even if not in the field of culture but who often in instrumental practice remain alien to it.
