In this fascinating composition for 2 violins, the about 6-minute music is like a dialogue with surprises. It begins as a distant ritual (in space and time), a remembrance of dances (des danses), that approaches until the melodies assume the narrative function, as in a story. Both violin parts are of equal instrumental importance. Thus, the listeners are confronted with a plurality of themes that they themselves can perceive, depending on the acoustic perspective. As in an optical illusion - in this case an auditive one! The 2 musicians use their voices to recreate some sound and/or rhythmic effects. Some gestures and movements are expected from the musicians, until the conclusion of the piece: like those things that appear so real in a dream (el azul), until we finally find certainty, a smile and the awakening!
