Excellent Intermediate Teaching Piece
Carol Klose's 'Dance of the Trolls' is a fantastic addition for intermediate students (SMP Level 5). The 6/8 meter and quick tempo with 16ths offer superb rhythmic development, and the full staff reading range with 8va and hand shifts are great for technique. Engraving is clear, and the alternating hand passages make it pedagogically sound and engaging. Highly recommend for recitals or festivals!

So Much Fun to Play!
I absolutely love Carol Klose's 'Dance of the Trolls'! It's an intermediate piece (SMP Level 5) but completely achievable for a dedicated adult learner like me. The 'gently grotesque' feel is so much fun, and the short motives really come alive as you play. Mastering the 6/8 meter and quick tempo feels incredibly rewarding, and it truly works its magic on the piano. A real joy!
