Baermann Complete Method for Clarinet
A good resource for the intermediate student. Has a variety of pieces and exercises that are good for learning and practicing a vartiety of skills.

Too hard to use
Contains historical info, trill rules, dictionary of music terms, expressions, note values BUT this is hardly a beginning book. This is division 1&2 but very little attention is given to the beginner except rudiments of note values, etc. 21 pages makes up division 1 then 2nd division starts page 27. This second part is more usable but there are many other books available that I like better. A funny symbol is used to indicate how long fingers should remain on the keys but I find it distracting. There are LOTS of open eighth notes OVER the music which is this books' way to indicate breathing but that just isn't necessary - the common breath mark sign is so much better. I find these to be too distracting and do not use this book when teaching any more although I play from it occasionally.
