First heard on Sade's 1992 album "Love Deluxe," "Cherish the Day" was reimagined by the Robert Glasper Experiment on their 2012 Grammy Award-winning album "Black Radio" featuring Lalah Hathaway. This big band arrangement adapts the Robert Glasper Experiment's rendition, featuring vocals, a piano solo, and a sax soli scoring out Casey Benjamin's iconic sax solo on the 2012 recording. Woodwind doubles in soprano sax (flute 1), alto sax (flute 2), tenor sax 1 and 2 (clarinets 1 and 2), and baritone sax (bass clarinet). Highest trumpet range is F6 concert pitch (optional); actual highest pitch C6.
