Caddo County Sunrise is the seventh and final title in a collection of solo piano pieces called SIMPLE SONGS. Caddo County Sunrise is inspired by the rolling hills and sprawling red clay farmland in southwestern Oklahoma. The piece is set in Eb Mixolydian and later modulates to F Mixolydian. The somewhat simple melody features some syncopation and octaves in both hands. This "movement" is suitable for advanced intermediate pianists and is approximately 4 minutes and 20 seconds in length.
