Brazilian Guitar Rhythms
Excellent introduction to the unique rhythm structures that can be found in samba, bossa nova, choro, frevo, and baiao. Comes with a play along CD. I also particularly like the Selected Discography section in the back of the book which provides a great list of recommendations for further listening.

Good resource book
I'm not sure that this is where is what to start your journey with Brazilian jazz/bosa nova guitar. This book is more for understanding the different rhythm patterms, that are used in Brazilian guitar music. If you are looking to some A.C. Jobim material, this is not what you are looking for. If you do however, what to work on different Sambas, Choros, Baiaos, and Bosa Novas, then this is just what you are looking for.

Terrific
This is a terrific. . . almost indispensable book for any serious player of the nylon string guitar (don't matter if you're jazz or classical). Great compilation of materials to help people get started with the Brazilian styles. Highly recommended.
