Written throughout the back half of 2023, this brass quintet explores intricate harmonies and melodic ideas stemming from a prologue that evolves over the course of the 10-minute work. The work includes many of the trademarks of my writing, with winding melodic lines, interwoven crunchy harmonies, and high-energy brass writing.
This work was written for my best friend's recital and had its world premiere in March of 2024 at East Carolina University.
