Believe it or not, I actually conceived this melody when I was in my early teens and only now have I made a full piano song based on that early inspiration. I even have lyrics for it! And who knows, I may even make it into a full song as I did for one of my other original piano pieces. The introduction of the main melody is done almost in piano "acapella" , light bass, just to modestly anounce itself to the listener. It has two bridges, the first being almost tango like, then it returns to the main melody as a reminder. Then it goes into the second bridge which in my opinion is the most beautiful part of the song as it's more romantic than contemplative. When it concludes with the main melody in higher octave, the bass is done with intentional arpeggios to distinguish it from prior melodic renditons. Part of my 2025 album "Dark Piano contemplations".
