About Vicki Tucker Courtney

Vicki Tucker Courtney is a distinguished American composer and arranger, celebrated for her prolific contributions to both sacred and secular music. With a foundational background in classical piano, her career blossomed into a versatile repertoire encompassing choral works, piano arrangements, handbell pieces, and solo vocal compositions. Courtney's music is characterized by its accessibility and appeal to a broad range of performers, making her a significant voice in contemporary educational and church music.

Vicki Tucker Courtney began playing piano at the remarkably young age of four and received early instruction from Paul van Katwijk, a notable composer and conductor of the Dallas Symphony.
After high school, she initially worked in the corporate world for many years before returning to her passion for music composition.
She studied composition under the mentorship of Dove Award-winning composer Mark Hayes, leading to her first choral publication in 2004.
By 2017, Courtney had achieved a significant milestone of over 350 published titles across various genres and voicings.

Performing Vicki Tucker Courtney's music offers immense rewards for musicians of many levels. Her extensive catalog includes pieces for unison voices, two-part choirs, SSA, SATB, piano, handbells, and solo voice, catering to emerging singers, school ensembles, church choirs, and individual students.
