Wonderful Snow is a calm, serene piano solo that mostly stays in the C Major 5-Finger position to get students in the winter mood. This piece is a great way to work on the C Major position and a good way for students to work on their pedaling skills as well. Students will also be introduced to thumb extensions in the left hand as the accompaniment rocks back and forth from 5ths and 6ths, and 5ths and 4ths.
The song is written to stay in a Piano dynamic in the left hand and Mezzo Piano in the right hand throughout, but you are welcome to add in different dynamics as well.
There are two versions of the song you can use with students:
Version 1 with regular note heads.
Version 2 with note names in the note heads.
