This arrangement of the 1960s pop tune Windy for an Easy Intermediate Concert Band is simple and fun, just like the girl described in the song. It opens with a tuba/bassoon and woodblock duet and then skips along happily through a couple meter changes and ends delightfully in two parts. In some ways, this is a relatively simple song. In other ways, it has few place that will take a little extra practice, but it will be worth it. At one place, the melody is tossed around, being played by most instruments within 8 measures. Then, it morphs into 6/8 time for just a few delightful measures before going back to 4/4 for the grand finale.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you download the music, the Cover Pages and Conductor's Score are 8.5" x 14". They will need to be printed on appropriate sized paper.
