I composed and dedicated this piece to my 2022-2023 students of the band program at the Melaleuca Elementary School (FL). The work was premiered in May 2023.
I composed this piece using a 5 music notes scale (F to Low Bb), simple rhythmic combinations, an ABA form, unisons, and duet textures. The Score has written a Drum Set part, but I had two students playing the music (one student for the snare, the other for the bass drum). This piece will suit your beginner concert band if you are a band teacher who wants to present a concert with music other than the exercises from the band method.
