Let the emotion pour off your stage with this powerful composition. Opening with exciting woodwind flourishes and contrasting fanfares, the piece eventually moves into a sensitive passage featuring beautiful chamber writing. Special effects are employed (including tuned wine glasses and singing) in an ethereal presentation of the melody using piano, bells, and vibraphone. As the piece builds one final time, the beautiful sweeping lines of the lyrical section return under powerful woodwind ostinatos. This work truly soars!

Designed for high school groups and upper-level middle school groups. Independence is encouraged, but many lines are cross-cued. Usually includes an expanded percussion section. Grades 3 - 3.5

Great!!!
This piece is really great, although some of the members of our symphonic band find it too easy, it has a lot of emotion!
