A fun little set of variations for viola trio and optional cello.
The second viola part from the trio may also be used as a standalone unaccompanied solo piece. It is intended for players that can play in first position. The third part is likewise deliberately kept simple and can be played in first position. The first viola part is intended for somewhat more advanced cellists that can play up to the third position position. A cello may be added or used instead of the third viola part. The trio can be played as a chamber music piece with one player per part, and can also be played by a "viola orchestra".
The style of the piece could be characterised as classical in form, and tonal.
This piece is also available in a version for cello solo, or 3 cellos and a double bass ad libitum.
