This ballad is I think the only song by a Nobel Laureate that I have arranged . It is in many ways, both melodically and lyrically, a simple and classic declaration of love, but manages to typify the genre without losing any sense of freshness. This is archetypal human experience, felt authentically.
The arrangement is notated in the traditional clefs for women's barbershop: treble and bass alta (i.e. sung an octave higher than written)
