Starting out with a Gregorian chant-type motif, Reineke uses all manner of musical sorcery to represent the turbulent lives of these vastly misunderstood women. A major work which is sure to become a favorite of audiences and performers alike! Very impressive!
About C.L. Barnhouse Command Series
The Barnhouse Command Series includes works at grade levels 2, 2.5, and 3. This series is designed for middle school and junior high school bands, as well as high school bands of smaller instrumentation or limited experience. Command Series publications have a slightly larger instrumentation than the Rising Band Series, and are typically of larger scope, duration, and musical content.

Meaningful piece
This piece, although almost nearing (if not exceeding) over the 11 minute mark, is a very fun, challenging, and exciting piece for any high-school band. I believe that, to get the audience into the piece, one must know the premise behind the piece, which is outlined in the conductor's score. I don't remember the story off-hand, but it was very interesting to say the least, and it adds a lot to the imagination of both the listeners and the musicians.
