"The Scampering Scarecrow" is a great little piece to play for the fall term, especially because it fits beautifully with "Halloween". The piece centers around the use of "pizzicato" for all members of the orchestra. The key introduces a harmonic minor scale which can be experienced by playing the scale along with the rhythms from the actual piece. Both scale and rhythm patterns are presented in all parts. Violin III and piano are also included.
