This graceful yet vigorous waltz has been altered for use as a what ballet practitioners might call an "adage," a type of ballet exercise that emphasizes slow, sustained movement. The author of this arrangement has put in extensive pedal markings to add to the proper "adage" character as used in prominent ballet companies throughout the world. .
