Excellent Repertoire for Developing String Ensembles
This arrangement of "The Lord of the Dance" is perfect for my intermediate string students. The Grade 3-4 difficulty is appropriate, offering engaging rhythmic challenges and ensemble work. The parts are clearly engraved, which is essential for young musicians learning new repertoire. It's a fun Celtic piece that keeps students motivated and helps them develop a strong sense of rhythm.

Fantastic Fun for a Weekend Quartet!
I absolutely love playing this Ronan Hardiman classic with my friends! The Grade 3-4 difficulty is spot-on for our adult hobbyist quartet – it feels challenging but totally achievable with a bit of practice. It's such a tuneful and rhythmic piece, making our weekly sessions really enjoyable. We feel like we're part of the energetic Celtic spirit, and it's just plain fun to play!

Fun for styling
Many might look at this piece and find it simple, boring and uninspired, but this piece must be approached with the style it was meant, fiddling. The piece was originally written for an dance with lots of energy. Keep the energy up and think about fiddling techniques including swinging some of the rhythm and this piece will live and will be a favorite with the musicians and the audience.

Disappointing - warmed over Simple Gifts
I had expected this to be an original piece, or at least something celtic as described, but was disappointed to learn it was just a remake -- and not all that interesting one -- of Simple Gifts which is a fine tune, but I wouldn't ever call it Celtic. Also, it's much easier than the level 3-4 assigned it. Won't be able to use this for my advanced intermediate orchestra, except maybe as a warm-up - too dull for performance!
