One of the most beautiful, rare Christmas songs, “Twas in the Moon of Wintertime” is Canada’s oldest Christmas song by many accounts, and has a haunting, soaring melody that calls to mind the mystical importance of that Christmas night. This instrumental solo version of the Huron Carol makes a beautiful prelude, postlude, or offertory any time during the Christmas season but would be particularly beautiful on Christmas Eve. It includes optional harmony notes that can be played by another instrument if another musician is available, and has the full piano accompaniment and arrangement as heard on my Youtube channel with over 1.3 million views at the time of this posting.
