This popular theme comes from the fourth movement of British composer Gustav Holst's (1874-1934) orchestral suite The Planets. Holst finished the piece in 1917 and it was first performed in 1920. Each movement represents not only the physical, astronomical planet but also the mythology and astrology that each planet has influenced. This arrangement makes the piece more approachable for less experienced players. It includes optional note names, a thinner texture, an easier key, and chord symbols to assist in learning it.
