THE book on improv tho the editing is a disaster
I really love this book, and I am very glad that I purchased it. Unlike other books of the same ilk, it actually explains why things work or don't. As opposed to the typical, you could do this, or this, or this. Several poor editorial choices however keep it from a 5 star review and maybe put it in the area of 3 stars. A lot of the information in the music notation is just unreadable because it is printed way too small. Even with a magnifier I can't figure out if the designated fret is 3, 5, or 7, etc. I have excellent eyesight, but gimme a break. The other is that the CD is an afterthought. The tracks are discussed in the last chapter but there's never any reference to where in the rest of the text the tracks are relevant to. Making those connections is an editor's and author's job. So yeah, it is a great book, but it could be done better.

Just Great
I love the layout.Division to small chunks of information on practicing and theory, makes it a great support for developing your guitar skills.The range of knowledge in this book is huge, but you can easily pick said chunks of most interest to you and come back for more or for reference.It is simple one of the best buys for me.
