I came across this book about 6 months ago online at Sheet Music Plus, and happy I did! The sequence of learning the notes is very straightforward. The exercises are highly useful, and the songs beautiful. I would highly recommend it as beginning/early intermediate material to learning the bass. I did get other books as well, but this book seemed more logical with much better melodies! Playing with the audio of the melodies let's me know I'm progressing. I am looking forward to the book 2 level I plan on getting next.
