Not ready for Prime Time!
Performed this arrangement for the funeral of the Concertmaster Emeritus of a leading American orchestra. Received the score and parts on two days notice. Spent 4+ hours correcting outright note errors, awkward voicing, and worst of all, completely wrong harmonies due to inattentive copy/paste of material that Massenet reharmonized in the recap. Largely rewrote the awkward viola part to increase playability to capture the essence of the original harp part more faithfully. Had we sightread these parts as printed, it would have been an embarrassing disaster! Its disconcerting to think that an arranger wouldnt have someone play through the parts before listing the music for sale at a price Id expect from an established publisher.
