In this arrangement, the piano accompaniment is reinterpreted for marimba, bringing out a
more transparent and percussive texture. The warm, woody resonance of the marimba replaces
the piano’s harmonic foundation, creating a tango atmosphere that is both rhythmic and
supple, adding new color and spatial depth to the saxophone line.
