Philip Glass quartet No. 5
We really liked it and will continue to play it. Challenging but not impossible.

difficult to read
I heard this piece at a concert and loved it, hence ordered the music. Although it is not technically difficult, it is printed in a way that makes it difficult to read; specifically, the font used for the notes could be standardized, and the symbols used for repeating phrases could be replaced with the actual music to make the piece more accessible. I've played it now in two quartets, both advanced amateur players, and we struggled to interpret symbols. It seems a gratuitously challenging style of printing.

Philip Glass, String Quartet #5
Glass's fifth quartet is a challenging and very rewarding piece. It has elements of the minimalism that one associates with Philip Glass, but it is more complex and interesting, than, e.g., his quartet #2.Highly recommended.
