This was originally a popular solo for oboe and strings. This arrangement for flute and keyboard (organ or piano) has been carefully edited with suggested articulations, dynamics and ornaments. This four movement work would make an excellent recital or recording project. Albinoni's characteristically elegant lyrical melodies are offset by flowing scale passages in the fast movements.

Not authentic
This sonata appears as sonata #11 in a collection of violin sonatas by Albinoni Trattenimenti Armonici Per Camera, Op. 6 which is playable on the modern flute. For unknown reasons, the arranger placed this in the third and fourth octave of the flute which is NOT the range in which baroque flute or violin music was written. I find it bothersome and unauthentic to be playing this music in such a high range. The piece is not demanding other than being pitched in the high register of the instrument.
