Silent Night Duet for Clarinet in Bb and Piano
This is a beautiful arrangement and enjoyable to play. I selected this particular arrangement for its length of approximately 3 minutes for our Christmas Candlelight service. The musicians are all college level or professional and I wanted something that had a bit more complexity. This piece was well suited and received excellent feedback from the audience. The interplay of the melody between the instruments as well as moving from the tonic to dominant with some development added beautifully to this traditional and well known song. I wrote a French horn part and turned it into a trio and it was perfection. It has beautiful voicing of the instruments and rich harmonies.
