Published by Sterling and Strings (A0.1438497).This is a wistful but charming sicilienne, sure to bring happy tears to the eyes of brides, grooms and wedding guests. It was originally arranged to be used as a processional, but will add beauty to any special occasion. The treble part is for flute or violin, which adds flexibility, although this was first performed by flute and cello. One interesting fact about this piece is that scholars aren't 100% sure that von Paradis composed it. Whoever wrote it was truly inspired, though; it has a lilting melody that is sure to please!
