Continuing on from the success of her album "Watermark", Enya brought 'new melodies, new emotions' and this opening track, 'Shepherd Moons' (1991) brings us right back into the familiar, dreamy sound world. Named after the discovery of twin moons orbiting Saturn in 1980 (eventually named Pandora and Prometheus), 'Shepherd Moons' in Roma Ryan's words, "protect and preserve the rings very much like a shepherd guiding his flock". This arrangement for concert band features all the wonderful harmonies, and more, and includes reverb effects in the trumpets and trombones to help recreate a sense of the original recording.
