Big sound without the tough read.
Russian prelude likely takes its name from Rachmaninoff preludes. The opening has full sounding chords at a forte to fortissimo level. The middle section is more built on a fluid, running repeated pattern that has a challenge built into its note order. Most students are happy playing this show piece, while teachers may find it slightly predictable.
