Dulcimer,Instrumental Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.509737

By Dan Fogelberg. Arranged by Larry Conger. Rock. Individual part. 4 pages. Larry Conger/Dulcimerican Music #4572449. Published by Larry Conger/Dulcimerican Music (A0.509737).

Dan Fogelberg's unofficial theme for the Kentucky Derby was recorded in 1981 and released in 1982.  It is arranged for mountain dulcimer in 1-5-8 or DAD tuning.  The arrangement makes use of a 1+ and 0+ fret, making it somewhat chromatic.

Intended for the intermediate level player with a solid knowledge of three finger chords and chord-melody style.  The primary challenge will be building and holding down the three finger chords while moving on the melody string.

Three pages.  Tablature, standard musical notation, lyrics and guitar accompaniment chords are included.

Run for the Roses Extra Frets
In response to Phroedrick's comment about a 0+ fret being required to play this arrangement, the product description clearly states the need for this extra fret (see above). Please read product descriptions carefully before ordering any downloadable product.

How Many Frets...
A nice arrangement, EXCEPT it requires a 0+ and a 1+ fret. Yep, Ive got a 1+ fret, and not a 0+ fret. Either I improvise something that doesnt sound exactly correct, or I have a 0+ installed. May as well have a fully chromatic dulcimer if youre going to play a lot of the stuff here. Further, my opinion only, if you need two additional frets, where most dulcimers have only two, this is not a beginner level piece. In any case, a nice arrangement.
