Link Wray's "Rumble" is considered to be the origin of instrumental rock & roll guitar, akin in importance to the Pavanes of Luis Milan both in it's harmony, symmetry and simplicity. In addition to being a staple of 12-bar blues based rock repetoire, this piece also makes a great warm-up piece for classical, flamenco, and fingerstyle guitarists for practicing finger shifting in chord changes, left hand positioning, back-beat shuffle feel, and pentatonic scale runs. The fast "shredding section" of the song has been adapted with flamenco rasgueados and percussive techniques to imitate the tremolo effect of the original recording making it a great practice routine for flamenco guitarists. This PDF edition includes a short standard notation version, a short tab/notation version, and an extended version in standard notation only. Right/left hand fingerings and chord diagrams are provided throughout. 7 pgs. including Cover and Glossary of Symbols for Standard Notation and Tab.
