Composed by Sergei Rachmaninoff. Arranged by Jon; Thingvall. This edition: pdf, streaming. 20th Century, Romantic Period. Score. 12 pages. Jon Thingvall #6138219. Published by Jon Thingvall (A0.954493).

Listen to the sample at about 3:20. I really think you'll love it!
I think this is faithful to the spirit of the original. In the third section, since development is important to me, I added some other embellishments to the phrases which appeared in the first section. I can't help but think that Maestro would have done something similar by now.
I don't recommend that students learn this arrangement until they have played the original, for I didn't write in the articulations except where I had changed them.

Thanks to Reason 11 for the mixing and the MP3, and to Finale (v26) for putting out such a great product! (This is the first time I've recorded their Concert D Steinway. I was surprised at how intuitive the Human Playback is on it.)

I arrange with REVERB, and use it to sustain notes and create chords which won't be heard without it. I recommend performing this arrangement in an area that has at least some echo. I chanced upon this article by Michelle Sabolchick on "Venue Acoustics" which may provide some performance insights, even in a totally acoustic environment.

Due to unforeseeable technical problems, parts do not always print to PDFs correctly; please let me know of any problems with printed parts, and I can send you an updated version. My e-mail is [email protected].
