Psalm 100 : Worship in Song

I. Shout: Prelude (Psalm 100:1)
This prelude serves to call the participants to worship, to help us
redirect our attention away from the ways of the world toward the joy
in the Lord.
II. Enter: Processional (Psalm 100:4)
The processional is a time of gathering, of bringing ourselves before
the Lord, physically and spiritually moving into His presence. This
verse suggests that we come with an attitude of praise and
thanksgiving.
III. Know: Meditation (Psalm 100:3)
A time of meditation and contemplation should help us come to realize
our relationship to the almighty, sovereign God. He is the Creator. We
are His creation. He is the shepherd and we are His sheep, His
followers.
IV. Worship: Exaltation (Psalm 100:2)
Raising our voices to the Lord in song is an outward expression of our
inward adoration and praise. Exalting Him with gladness and joy is
certainly an act of worship.
V. Remember: Benediction (Psalm 100:5)
These parting words serve as a reminder of the never-ending love,
goodness, and faithfulness of our God.
