This patriotic country ballad sounds great when played at a slower pace and with feeling, which allows transitions between chords to be very achievable for even less experienced players.
The melodic line follows the song lyrics as they are heard in the original recording almost exactly. The old axiom, "If you can sing it, you can play it!" is very true in this case.
