No extra frets required for the Solo piece. There is a C chord (11+3) indicated in the Outro, but a 343 C chord can be substituted there. The BASS part does require the 1+ fret.
Suggested skill level for the Solo and Dulcimer 1 (Melody) part is Intermediate and above. Suggested skill level for the BASS part is Advanced Beginner/Early Intermediate and above.
If you can sing it, you can play it! The sixteenth notes in the tab make it look harder than it is. The melodic line is fairly simple in this song. I suggest listening to Freddy sing it a couple times to fix the rhythm in you mind. You are simply substituting an up or down stroke on each of the words sung in the verse so your dulcimer replaces his voice.
This is a really fun song to play and bring up to speed slowly. The use of power (barre) and two finger chords make fretting much less of a challenge than it might seem at first glance.
